I’m Kay Trembath, the face behind Crumbzs, and I am so incredibly happy you’ve dropped by.

How it all started...
Back in 2010, I decided it was time for a change. I packed up my corporate city life and moved to the beautiful town of Healesville, nestled in Victoria's Yarra Valley. As a lifelong lover of textiles and making things by hand, I quickly realised our lovely town was missing a dedicated creative space.
So, in 2011, I took a leap of faith and opened the doors to our Healesville store. For 14 wonderful years, Crumbz thrived as a vibrant, physical creative hub. It became a cherished part of the community, where we hosted lively knitting clubs, crochet lessons and workshops. Connecting daily with passionate crafters of all ages and walks of life was an absolute joy, and it allowed us to build a deep, expert knowledge of what makers truly look for in high-quality supplies.
Our Next Chapter (Right to Your Doorstep!)
While our physical store closed its doors in March 2025, the Crumbzs journey is burning brighter than ever! We have officially stepped into an exciting new chapter as a fully online shop!
Transitioning online means I get to bring our carefully curated collection of premium wools, luxury alpaca and merino yarns, modern designer patterns, and top-tier tools straight to your doorstep - no matter where you are in the world.
The "Local Yarn Shop" Experience, Online
I know that shopping for yarn online can sometimes feel a bit distant, which is why I bring that exact same small-town store care to every single order. When you shop with us, you’re not just getting a parcel in the mail; you’re getting a service backed by years of experience. We are the type of online shop that will happily double-check your plys, match your dye lots perfectly, or reach out to suggest a beautiful budget-friendly alternative if a project feels a bit too costly.

- Easy, local shopping: View prices in your own currency and get digital patterns sent straight to your inbox instantly.
- A free pick up service: If you're one of our awesome local customers or if you just love visiting our charming town, you can pick up your online orders in person at the Healesville Library on Wednesdays between 11am - 1pm!
- A free, personalised consultation at the Crumbz Studio to explore colours in beautiful natural light, get expert help matching plys and premium fibres (like our Merino, Possum, and Alpaca ranges), and bring your creative vision to life with dedicated, stress-free assistance.
- Free Shipping Within Australia: On all orders over $75 (and yes, we proudly ship to our lovely friends in New Zealand and beyond, with international rates calculated at checkout!)
